Back when Noctum Records was in its heyday we had a DJ for just about every kind of genre. During that time I had an idea for a series of mixes called, Coffeehouse Sessions. So DJ’s are used to raves, nightclubs and even the festival scene but what if a DJ had to play a coffee shop? You have a different crowd at a coffee shop. Some are there for inspiration as they write their papers, and novels. Some are there to unwind with their friends, while others are there to study. You would have to be inspiring, conversational, and completely ignorable all at the same time. Like coffee you have to be both stimulating and relaxing.

This will be the launching point for that project. Now that Noctum Records is disbanded this series is open to anyone who wants to submit a mix. This is not a genre specific series it is a situational specific series. This could be Downtempo, Breaks, House, Drum and Bass, Dubstep or anything in between. I will be launching this in the next few months with the first mix and then I will be opening it up for submissions. I look forward to bringing people mixes that are truly artistic in nature.
